Description
SUMMARY: Provide overall support to the culinary staff while ensuring cleanliness, proper sanitation, and storage of kitchen wares and equipment.
                          
EXPECTATIONS:    
  • Provide platinum service while maintaining a clean and safe environment for members, guests, and staff
  • Know and embrace the mission statement and platinum service basics
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):           
  • Provide support to the Culinary staff
  • Operate dishwashing machine to clean plates, glasses, silverware, pots, and pans
  • Hand-wash pots and other items as necessary
  • Inspect plates, glasses, silverware, pots, and pans to ensure cleanliness
  • Polish silverware, platters, and dishes
  • Collect trash and recycling from kitchen areas ensuring it is placed in proper receptacles
  • Empty and wash garbage cans and re-line with new bags
  • Break down boxes and remove debris
  • Sweep and mop kitchen floors and mats
  • Clean cooking equipment
  • Assist in food preparation and plating banquet meals
  • Clean coolers, freezers, and storeroom
  • Continuously inspect floors in kitchen areas to ensure they remain clean, dry, and clear of debris
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of loading dock
  • Clean and safely store all brooms, mops, and other cleaning equipment in their proper places
 
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Experience preferred, but not required.
 
SCHEDULE: Part-time Monday-Sunday, approximately 25-30 hours, five shifts per week.  Weekend availability is required.  
 
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk and stand for lengthy periods of time. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Employee is regularly required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Employee is also required to stand and reach with hands and arms and regularly use hands and fingers.
 
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and to high, precarious places.
                          
EQUIPMENT USED: Dish machine & associated chemicals.
 
MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT: It is Club policy not to hire any employee under the age of 16. Must be at least 18 years old in order to serve alcohol and at least 21 years old to tend bar (includes all banquet serving staff).
