SUMMARY: Provide service to members in Fitness Center.
 
EXPECTATIONS:
 
  • Provide platinum service while maintaining a clean and safe environment for members, guests, and staff
  • Know and embrace the mission statement and platinum service basics
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):
 
  • Greet members as they enter and answer questions about policies and programs
  • Answer telephone and direct calls
  • Inform and register members of all upcoming and current Fitness programs
  • Promote Fitness and Wellness programs
  • Manage the sign-in log and enforce Club policies
  • Assist manager with billing when needed
  • Attend staff meetings
  • Resolve member issues
  • Stock towels
  • Clean facility and equipment
  • Oversee the coffee station, stocking beverages and supplies as needed
  • Be familiar with Club programs
  • Provide orientations of equipment to members (after waiting period and training)
  • Spot or assist members as needed during workout
 
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Less than high school education and no prior experience necessary.
 
SCHEDULE: Part-time, working an average of 20-25 hours per week. Shifts are from 7am–12pm, 2pm-5pm, and 5pm-9pm.
 
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand for lengthy periods of time and walk.  The employee is regularly required to lift/move up to 50lbs unassisted. Employee is regularly required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Employee is also required to stand and reach with hands and arms and regularly use hands and fingers.
 
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. 
 
MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT:
It is Club policy not to hire any employee under the age of 16.
