Job Title:                Grill Host/Hostess
Department:           Clubhouse-Grill

SUMMARY: Greet and seat members and guests in a timely and cordial manner.
 
EXPECTATIONS:
 
  • Provide platinum service while maintaining a clean and safe environment for members, guests, and staff
  • Know and embrace the mission statement and platinum service basics
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):
 
  • Greet and seat members in a timely manner
  • Take drink orders and deliver drinks
  • Maintain a par stock of kids’ menus and wine lists at the podium
  • Keep menus clean and replace worn menus as needed
  • Create and update seating chart each shift
  • Maintain waiting list of members
  • Answer telephone and take reservations
  • Assist Servers and Server Assistants with refilling beverages and clearing/resetting tables during busy periods
  • Assist members with coats if time permits
  • Attend line-up meetings as scheduled
  • Assist in training new Hosts/Hostesses
  • Support Server Assistants; may be scheduled as Server Assistant if needed
 
SCHEDULE: Part-time averaging 20 hours per week. Restaurant is open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week. Day shifts are from 10:00AM-3:00PM, evening shifts are from 4:00PM-10:00PM. Primary shifts are Tuesday PM, and Friday, Saturday, Sunday AM/PM.
 
 
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:  Less than high school education required. No experience necessary.
 
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk and stand for lengthy periods of time. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 45 pounds. Employee is regularly required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Employee is also required to stand and reach with hands and arms and regularly use hands and fingers.
 
 WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. 
 
MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT:
Host/Hostess may be required to serve alcohol; minimum age requirement of 18 applies.
