Assist Program Manager with pool operations ensuring quality service and programs for the members.
  • Provide platinum service while maintaining a clean and safe environment for members, guests, and staff
  • Know and embrace the mission statement and platinum service basics
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):
  • Manage daily pool operations
  • Responsible for posting hourly chemical readings and coordinating pool cleaning with Swim Metro Manager
  • Maintain a clean pool deck, office, and recreational area to ensure it is free of trash, loose towels, weeds, algae, etc.
  • Have knowledge of and promote quality programs
  • Address member issues and/or concerns and respond appropriately
  • Use judgment and pool rules to communicate with Swim Metro regarding closing pool during inclement weather
  • Train and supervise gate guards during operating hours
  • Assist Program Manager with staff training and informational staff meetings
  • Recognition of staff performance
  • Issue verbal warnings and communicate with Program Manager regarding coaching and counseling staff
  • Maintain pool furniture, rescue and safety equipment, and cleaning equipment
  • Work special events and after-hour rentals
  • Assist with home swim and dive meets
  • Work as gate guard when needed
  • Communicate daily with Program Manager regarding staff and member issues
  • Post activity schedule for pools to communicate special events to the membership
  • Ensure proper sign-in and guest registration on a daily basis; report participation to pool office
  • Have knowledge of and enforce pool rules
  • Assist with swim lessons if needed
Directly supervise 10-15 employees in the Aquatics Department.  Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Club's policies. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year related experience and/or training.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand for extended periods of time and walk. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions.
