The Country Club of Virginia is a full-service private club located in Richmond, Virginia. CCV is perpetually recognized as one of the top clubs in America as a result of its remarkable membership, world-class facilities, and exceptional staff.
The Club’s 7,600+ members support 1,111 acres containing two outstanding clubhouses situated seven miles apart, 54 holes of golf, racquet sports, fitness, aquatics, and multiple dining outlets and special event venues. In season, CCV employs a staff of over 600 and has an operating budget in excess of $30 million.
CCV is looking for a talented Assistant Superintendent for its Tuckahoe Creek Golf Course. Ideal candidates will have strong leadership skills, a college degree, and a minimum of two years' experience, preferably in the transition zone.
The Tuckahoe Creek Course consists of A1/A4 bentgrass greens and bermudagrass tees, fairways, and rough. The Assistant Superintendent will work closely with Director of Golf Course Maintenance, Course Superintendent, Equipment Manager, and Irrigation Manager to ensure member expectations are met daily and will be expected to contribute to planning, projects, scheduling, cultural practices, moisture management, and pesticide applications. The Assistant will supervise a staff of 15 in season.
This position has potential for upward mobility within the department. Our three current Superintendents began as CCV Assistant Superintendents.
