Banquet Chef – The Country Club of Virginia

The Country Club of Virginia is a full-service private club located in Richmond, Virginia. CCV is perpetually recognized as one of the top clubs in America as a result of its remarkable membership, world-class facilities, and exceptional staff.
The club’s 7,400+ members support 1,111 acres containing two superb clubhouses situated seven miles apart, 54 holes of golf, racquet sports, fitness, aquatics, and multiple dining outlets and special event venues. Candidates for the Banquet Chef position should possess exemplary leadership qualities. Paramount to this role are the skills of culinary team-building and training. The Chef must be well-versed in buffet format, with a focus on dynamic and creative action stations, as well as innovative plate presentations for large functions. The ability to execute multiple events at the same time across a large campus is critical. Organization and sanitation are necessary strengths, and a culinary degree or certification is required, along with three to five years’ experience in a multi-unit operation.
The Banquet Chef will be homed at the Westhampton Clubhouse, where banquet revenues average $2 million annually. He or she will report to the Executive Sous Chef and will supervise a Banquet Sous Chef and a team of five to ten cooks and stewards.

The Club’s culinary management team consists of a highly acclaimed Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef, outlet chefs, pastry department, and seasoned foodservice supervisors. The food and beverage team strives to provide the finest possible culinary offerings in an elegant yet relaxed setting with a propensity toward exemplary service.
