SUMMARY: Provide quality and timely food and beverage service to members around the pool and at the outdoor café.
 
EXPECTATIONS:
  • Provide platinum service while maintaining a clean and safe environment for members, guests, and staff
  • Know and embrace the mission statement and platinum service basics
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):
  • Provide immediate attention to all members and guests upon request
  • Greet members at their pool chairs or outdoor café tables
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately
  • Place orders with kitchen; inform cooks of any special instructions
  • Deliver food and beverages and ensure member satisfaction
  • Verify accuracy of prices, tax, and tips; operate Point-of-Sale computer system
  • Clear and reset tables as needed
  • Advise supervisor/manager of any complaints as soon as they occur
  • Perform clean-up and closing duties as assigned by manager
  • Perform the duties of a food runner, supporting other servers on the shift as assigned by supervisor
  • Attend line-up meetings as scheduled
  • Assist with the training of new servers
SCHEDULE: Part-time, seasonal position averaging 25 hours per week. Season is from Memorial Day to Labor Day.  Primary shifts are 10:30 A.M.- 3:30 P.M. or 3:30 P.M. to close.  Schedule varies Sunday through Saturday.  Weekend availability is required. 
 
MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT: The Poolside Café serves alcohol; applicants must be at least 18 years old for this position.
 
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:  Less than high school education required. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience in customer service and/or food service preferred, but not required.
 
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk and stand for lengthy periods of time. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Employee is regularly required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Employee is also required to stand and reach with hands and arms and regularly use hands and fingers.
